These courses are recognised New Zealand wide - in any industry - as evidence of your increasing knowledge, experience and value in your workplace. These certificate-level programmes broaden your skills and provide independent evidence of your abilities.

CERTIFICATES

In the current economic climate, finding and keeping a job is important to everyone. Earning money is one obvious reason for this, but for many of us it is not the only reason we value our jobs. Employment brings us satisfaction for many reasons, such as having the opportunity to do interesting work, learn and develop new skills and earn the respect of work colleagues.

A certificate-level course provides recognition of the capabilities and experience you accumulate throughout your working life, providing the foundation for your career development and giving you a competitive edge over other professionals in your field.

This suite of programmes offers an ideal basis for personal development. Entry is open to anyone employed in positions relevant to the courses' learning outcomes. If you have any questions after you have read the course prescriptions, please call us on (09) 367 0971 or email learn@ema.co.nz

The content of the programmes listed below cover outcomes relevant to unit standards. Individual learners may choose to continue working towards these unit standards in their workplace. Each module provides practical and theoretical learning to complement the practical skills you use in your daily work. Upon completion of all the unit standard-based assements, this achievement will be added to your Record of Achievement from NZQA.

The course material is divided into blocks of learning. Each of these learning blocks involves classroom-based activities, followed by workplace learning, where you put into practice the concepts and skills you have learned in the classroom. When you are able to demonstrate the skills required for each unit standard, you are assessed and your competence in that unit standard is recorded.

The list of Certificate courses on offer include:

Note: These are not NZQA approved courses, however learners that achieve all of the unit standard attached to these courses will have this added to their Record of Achievement from NZQA.
