Communication in a Crisis

Crisis situations within a workplace require strong leadership and effective communication to staff, customers and other stakeholders. This eLearning module will guide you through how to ensure your communication messages are heard, and provide advice on which mode to utilise in different types of crisis you may face.

Learning Outcomes:
 By completing this module you will:
    • Gain an understanding of the types of crisis a business may face
    • Gain an understanding of the planning required for crisis communication
    • Be given the tools to create your own crisis communication plan
    • Be able to identify the tools that can be used to communicate with during a crisis
    • Understand the different responses that are required for internal and external stakeholders during a crisis, and why they are important​​

Being a great communicator has never been so important, and the Communication at work module will ensure what you have to say gets heard. 

Discover the appropriate methods to communicate ideas and information to the different levels in your business, and how to develop a positive internal and external communication style with your team.

    • Effectively communicate with the right tools for the audience and message
    • Communicate up and down the business with the stakeholders and staff to get your message across faster

Courageous Conversations


Courageous Conversations

Dealing with difficult communication styles, perspective, demands, priorities and conflict is something that most people would prefer to shy away from. However, at work our working relationships rely on us to face up to and resolve their concerns or demands constructively. This eLearning programme is a great way to be introduced to skills to have more confidence in facing up to and dealing with difficult communications and conflict constructively.

 By completing this module you will:
    • Be able to recognise when a courageous conversation is required, and how to effectively plan and execute it
    • Understand and utilise the tools required to have a courageous conversation
    • Understand the techniques you may need to utilise to have a courageous conversation
    • Gain the skills required to have a courageous conversation.
