These forums tend to focus on issues that affect the environment for business. Provision of infrastructure (transport, water, electricity, ports) and the impacts of local and central government regulation and legislation are among the most common topics. Reform of the resource managment system and housing are key topics high on the policy forum agenda.
Employers Forum
These forums improve understanding and enable businesses to influence employment policy.
EMA actively works to ensure that employment policy supports the changing needs of our members. We work closely with Government, officials, Industry Training providers and Universities to influence and campaign on behalf of employers.

EMA provides a voice for manufacturers in all industry sectors.
Forum objectives
- Promote, aid, foster, encourage, develop and protect local and New Zealand manufacturing.
- Assist in maintaining a New Zealand federation of manufacturers' organisations.
- Develop policy, represent and initiate activities on all issues of interest to the manufacturing sector.
