Employers and Manufacturers Association (EMA) Northern - Manufacturers Forum

Manufacturers Forum

EMA provides a voice for manufacturers in all industry sectors, through this forum which meets monthly to discuss topical issues, and provide input and direction to the EMA board.

Forum objectives

  • To promote, aid, foster, encourage, develop and protect local and New Zealand manufacturing industries.
  • To affiliate with (through the board) and assist in maintaining a New Zealand federation of manufacturers' organisations, and to act in conjunction or affiliate with, and to appoint representatives to, any business or industry association or other body interested in trade or commerce.
  • To develop policy and initiate appropriate activities on all issues of specific interest to the manufacturing sector.
  • To represent the manufacturing sector on issues of specific interest, providing an identity and voice for the sector.
  • To do all such other things as may appear necessary or desirable or incidental or conducive to attaining the above objects.

Forum members take part in the joint Policy Forum, with members of the EMA Employers Forum.

The forum emanates from the Auckland Manufacturers Association, formed in 1886.
