Advanced: Analyse, Create and Evaluate
The EMA Diploma Occupational Health and Safety Management is the perfect programme for leaders in the Occupational Health and Safety field who’d like to further develop their skills in practical and relevant ways. To undertake the EMA Diploma, you must be able to verify that you are currently in a senior OH&S management role and have the full support of your company, including access to their systems and data. This programme is suitable for those with a minimum qualification of the National Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety (Coordination) Level 4 or have equivalent experience.
What you’ll learn:
This advanced EMA programme will deliver the tools, techniques and knowledge to facilitate best practice Occupational Health and Safety management across your organisation. The programme equips you to use your own experience and systems as the basis of discovery.
Where and when: eight two-day modules: 9am – 4pm (plus study day mid-course)

- Lead, review and influence an organisation’s effective Health and Safety communication, consultation and engagement strategies and training programmes at all levels
- Foster a positive, resilient Health and Safety leadership and culture
- Use proven principles to identify, analyse, prioritise and articulate Health and Safety risks as part of an organisation’s overall risk profile, and recommend cost effective mitigation
- Analyse and present Health and Safety data to help strategic planning and measure performance

The EMA is currently preparing programme approval and accreditation applications to gain NZQA approval to deliver the New Zealand Diploma in Workplace Health and Safety Management (Level 6) In the meantime, learners who achieve the unit standards attached to this course will have this added to their NZ Record of Achievement from NZQA.
