​Who’s this programme for?
Advanced: Analyse, Create and Evaluate 

Safety supervisors, coordinators or team leaders will be the main candidates for this Certificate programme and health and safety responsibilities must form part of their role. The content assumes the candidate holds a National Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety - Workplace Safety (Level 3) or has equivalent experience.  Candidates need the full support of their workplace, with access to systems and data for assessment work.

What you’ll learn:

This programme suits all industries and has a flexible structure to meet different needs. The EMA Certificate HSP covers all the essential knowledge team leaders, supervisors and frontline managers need to contribute to workplace safety, health and wellbeing. You’ll learn all the requirements, systems and processes involved in implementing an effective Health and Safety plan in the workplace.

Where and when: four two-day blocks: 9am – 4pm (plus a study day and assessments)

After, you’ll be able to…
  • Communicate, implement, supervise and monitor job-specific Health and Safety requirements and practices in the workplace
  • Use leadership skills to promote the benefits of good Health and Safety practices, and a proactive Health and Safety culture within the workplace
  • Apply your knowledge of Health and Safety risk analyses and mitigation strategies
  • Conduct a Health and Safety assessment and prepare your organisation for a health and safety audit/inspection
