Whether you’re looking for a promotion into a supervisory or team leader position, or you’re already working at that level, this comprehensive learning programme is extremely valuable. It’s a great opportunity to attain skills for future career growth.


What you’ll learn:

This programme will enhance your management skills and give you tools to confidently interact with employees. You’ll discover new ways to take charge in your organisation, minimise workplace disruptions and resolve conflict. Learning astute communication tactics for different situations will increase your confidence as a first line manager, ultimately boosting quality and output.


Where and when: four two-day modules, one module per month, 9am–4pm

After, you’ll be able to…
  • Ensure clear, open, two-way communication between all team members
  • Build teamwork that generates suggestions and ideas to help achieve shared objectives
  • Apply informal interviewing skills in different situations, using them to manage conflict and improve performance
  • Understand the fundamentals of quality, be able to use quality management tools and evaluate their effectiveness.

Note: This is not a NZQA approved course. The EMA is currently preparing programme approval and accreditation applications to gain NZQA approval to deliver the New Zealand Certificate in Business (Introduction to Team Leadership) (Level 3)

In the meantime, learners who achieve the unit standards attached to this course will have this added to their NZ Record of Achievement from NZQA.​​
