Advanced: Analyse, Create and Evaluate​

If you are an experienced trainer wanting to hone your skills and design better education solutions, or you want a thorough grounding in the principles of adult education and training this programme is ideal. You’ll learn theories and techniques that will boost your skills in content design, facilitation and assessment.​

What you’ll learn:

Grounded in adult learning theory, this programme has everything you need to take your performance in adult education and training to a very high level. The course will broaden your understanding of cultural and learning needs, giving you the skills necessary to tailor your training for individuals and groups of adult learners.

Comprising four two-day training modules, the course will build your knowledge in a number of areas, including the design, moderation and evaluation of assessments. You’ll also gain the ability to prepare candidates for standards-based assessments.

  • Understand adult learning behaviour and use the insights gained to create highly effective interactive learning programmes

  • Confidently facilitate groups with different individual learning styles and cultural backgrounds, maintaining a safe and positive learning environment for all

  • Review the impact of your training sessions, and design and evaluate assessment materials.

  • Recognise and adapt to diverse cultural needs and student learning styles when designing and facilitating programmes

  • Understand and apply adult learning theories

  • Evaluate your training sessions to assess their impact and continually improve their effectiveness

  • Understand the principles of assessment design and moderation and use Training Needs Analysis to target courses to specific groups of learners.​

 
Learners can expect to do approximately 340 hours of self-directed learning (including gathering evidence for assessments) over a one-year period to complete this programme.
