Who's this programme for?
Advanced: Analyse, Create and Evaluate 

If you manage a business, organisation, business unit or department, this programme will make you a consummate practitioner. It is also the perfect pathway if you are preparing to become a manager. In working through this programme, you will apply a number of management best practices within your own business to improve its performance.

What you'll learn:
Managing a business, or business unit, requires a broad skill-set. This Diploma lets you learn these skills in a practical, cohesive way. You'll study a range of topics, applying what you've learned in your own business throughout the programme, to achieve measurable results.

Running for eight two-day learning modules, the course covers all management essentials from strategy to leadership, employee management to efficiency improvement. Learning is hands-on, with tools, examples and time to apply everything you learn within your own organisation.

After, you'll be able to…

  • Develop, or contribute substantively to, the strategic direction of your organisation
  • Lead your business or unit to achieve its organisational objectives
  • Analyse financial and performance reports, set up KPIs and identify specific actions to improve performance
  • Maintain and grow mutually beneficial relationships with key stakeholders
  • Communicate clearly and persuasively
  • Evaluate opportunities presented by external changes and implement organisational change to improve output.

Note: This is not a NZQA approved course. The EMA is currently preparing programme approval and accreditation applications to gain NZQA approval to deliver the New Zealand Diploma in Business (Level 5) In the meantime, learners who achieve the unit standards attached to this course will have this added to their NZ Record of Achievement from NZQA.​​​​​​​​​​​​
