This course is suitable for managers who want to understand the legislative requirements surrounding bullying and harassment. If you want to know what to do when faced by such behaviour, including procedures for handling and investigating associated complaints, this is the course for you.

What you’ll learn:

Bullying and harassment have been all too common in New Zealand workplaces. They represent a considerable threat to workers’ safety and wellbeing, and negatively affect performance and productivity. This foundation-level course for managers will help you understand what constitutes bullying and harassment, and the legislative frameworks that govern them. It will help you to be procedurally fair when handling complaints and managing investigations.

Where and when: around 60 minutes to complete, but time, duration and sessions are flexible.
After, you’ll be able to…

• Know the types of behaviour that constitute bullying or harassment, and be able to identify them
• Understand your responsibilities and know what to do if bullying or harassment takes place
• Better navigate the procedures for handling and investigating claims of bullying and harassment, including disciplinary proceedings.
