If you are a Director or Trustee and new to a Governance role this course is ideally suited for you. Attending will provide you with a deeper understanding of good Governance and assist you to develop the skills you will need to be successful in a governance role.

What you'll learn:
You will learn the difference between Management and Governance and how they interact. Understand what to look for in an organisation’s financial performance and the measures you should be looking for. Serving on an audit and risk or human resources management and remuneration committee as a member attending the course will enable you to understand Organisational risk and how to identify it, what to look for and what to do about it. The course will provide you with the skills to understand the benefits of diversity and manage more diversity onto the board.

  • Possess the knowledge and application of Governance and Management relationships and how they work together. 
  • Design strategy from organisational purpose and direction that enables quick and quality execution. 
  • Analyse and interpret financial measures so that you can comprehend what matters to serve as a director.
  • Create and design risk assessments that lower or eliminate prosecution risk and ensure compliance. 
  • Evaluation of diversity in a governance context
