Who’s this course for?
Managers, team leaders and business owners need to have a fundamental understanding of health and safety legislation in NZ. This course is the perfect way to understand the regulations and compliance requirements under the HSWA.

  • Overview of the recent Health and Safety at Work Act; changing roles, the duties of Officers and Persons Conducting a Business or Undertaking (PCBUs), and the rights and responsibilities of workers
  • Understanding and managing risk; investigation and reporting of incidents

What you’ll learn:

The Health and Safety at Work Act 2015 (HSWA) has many implications for business. This course provides a fundamental overview of the recent Act for employees, business owners and managers. Various interactive learning tools, such as simulated scenarios, activities and quizzes, are used to keep things interesting and deliver real understanding. Delivered online in around 120 minutes, it’s a convenient introduction to the Act’s key concepts and terminology, roles and responsibilities, and main compliance requirements.
