You’ll learn about the key issues when creating a bargaining process agreement and how to prepare for a negotiation – including mediation and dealing with industrial action.

  • Understanding the process – from initiation of bargaining to the issues surrounding the bargaining process agreement to terms of settlement
  • Strategies to create an environment to enable constructive discussions and value for both parties
  • Practical tips to prepare for the negotiation including preparation of claims, bargaining team composition and assessing underlying “interests”
  • Navigating the issues when dealing with mediation and industrial action

  • Confidently assess the landscape of business risks in the context of negotiating with unions during collective bargaining.
  • You’ll walk away with a clear understanding of internal and external environmental factors, creating the bargaining process agreement, mediations and finalising the documentation.
