EMA Legal are a team of specialist employment lawyers who only act for employers involved in or at risk of costly employment litigation. We work closely with our employment relations and human resources colleagues in employment relationship problem-solving. We also provide strategic employment advice at the "front end" to limit the potential for litigation.
We understand the complex issues surrounding employment law and related topics such as immigration, income tax, intellectual property rights, restraints of trade and corporate law. We apply a professional and commercial approach to problem-solving and recommend mediation wherever possible as the first line dispute resolution tool. Our experienced employment lawyers are, however, equally at home in the Employment Relations Authority and the Employment Court.
In addition to the advice and education services provided by our specialist colleagues in the consultancy and training units, EMA Legal lawyers are skilled in representing employers on a wide range of workplace and public disputes including:
legal issues arising at all stages in the employment "life cycle" from hiring through the employment relationship, to firing
