What will I learn

This workshop will help you design and implement systems in your organisation that will increase quality, efficiency and profitability. You will learn a step by step method for systemising, the essential elements of an effective system, how to involve your staff in systemising and what to systemise. As systems are about influencing people, this workshop has a strong people focus and you will learn how to incorporate the people element into your systems.

  • The stages of business development and the need for business systems
  • What a business system is and isn’t
  • The 5 elements of an effective system
  • What needs to be systemised
  • Who should be involved in developing and implementing systems
  • How to successfully involve others in systemising
  • How to ensure your systems fit your business
  • How to document your systems – a methodology to use
  • How to make systemising ‘business as usual’

Productivity Improvements

On leaving this course you will be able to:

  • Design and implement flexible systems that increase efficiency and effectiveness
  • Be able to evaluate the costs and benefits of systemisation
  • Understand the critical role systems play in coordinating the different parts of the business
  • Understand how to successfully involve others in systemising more of the business
  • Have a simple methodology in which to communicate your business systems
